Food Trip l Spicy Chicken Wings - 07.01.09

Cooking is one of the many things that I am passionate about. In spite of the busy schedules at work and in school, I make sure that I cook once in awhile. It was my day off and I've decided to cook dinner for my family. It’s been a while since the last time I cooked and it’s one of my favorite dishes!

It’s the ever famous Spicy Chicken Wings, also known as Buffalo wings for some. It was morning when I bought the ingredients at the wet market, which included mushrooms, green and red bell peppers, eggs, chilli powder, crushed pepper, and 2 kilos of chicken wings.

Right after I went home, I marinated the chicken wings with all the ingredients so it’ll be tasteful once I cook them.

It was early evening and the whole fam is ready to hear mass, I volunteered to stay since I needed to cook dinner. I went to the dirty kitchen and started to fire the charcoal. I used charcoal in cooking because based on my experience, it takes time to cook chicken wings. If I’ll use our gas range it will be costly ,so I settled for charcoal!

After an hour of frying the chicken wings, I cooked the sauce and poured in the wings.

Voila, and dinner is ready! It was a good feeling knowing that they enjoyed the food. The time I spent cooking was all worth it!

Food Trip l Rodics @ UPD - 02.28.09

Last Sunday, I went home to visit my family. It was a long week for me aside from work, I also had my studies to attend to. We had our finals last Saturday at Palma Hall in UP Diliman. Met some of my classmates and not to mention Richard Gomez was there too. I could say, I had a hard time answering some of the questions coz I was not able to review one of the subjects. I'm really busy at work. There is not much time to review after my shift. After the exam, I went out the room and took some pictures of the building.


Then waited for some of my classmates and ate at the famous tapsilogan in UP, "Rodics". At the price of PHP 60.00 per serving of silog, you'll surely get full. From the first time I’ve tasted their tapsilog, I’ve constantly craved for more.

Whenever there's a chance for me to visit UP, I always make sure I eat at Rodics either for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. To all food trippers, a must try silogan at affordable price!

One of the nicest text message I received for today....

Food Trip l Cake Indulgence - 01.23.09

Cofi Academy is one of the coffee shops I often visit. Aside from the luscious frappes they serve, the free wifi is also another buy-in for its regular coffee addicts. And now, it has a new shop at AUF Medical Center. At first, I was hesitant to dine coz you see patients and all those people wearing white uniforms passing by (try to imagine hehe). However, I did not have a choice since I crave for coffee and cake hlolz! It was a fun time with Mon and Pcesss.

And after coffee and cake, we went to Jollibee for free wifi to continue our research! Oh yes, Mon, ordered fries for us hehehe - for us not to be sent out in using the wifi! Free wifi @ Jollibee is available from 8PM-6AM. :)
